Hi guys,

I am having problems with getting a stable connection with my real wiimote in various games. I have tried many builds (I will list these at the end). What happens is I get the message in game that the wii has lost connection to the wiimote. Even if I re-connect it in dolphin, it will not reconnect to the game without restarting the game.

The main game I have issues with it Tiger woods 10 & 12, it connects for a minute or two, can sometimes play the first hole, but then drops out., this is not isolated, as its also happening in other games, fifa 09 all play, PES 2009, shaun white snowboarding.. etc.

Games that work perfect, ie hours without wiimote dropout are Super mario galaxy & galaxy 2 & super smash brawl.

I have a microsoft USB bluetooth dongle & windows 7 microsoft BT stack.

It happens so much that the only games that are playable are super mario & ssb.

I have tried these different builds. (in x86 & x64 both with the same issues)

r7617 - Lectrode
r7676 - lectrode
1.52,1.53,1.59,1.61 - Dirty
1.58 - Extremedude.

In tiger woods 10, using lectrode's builds, the dropout is always exactly in the same spot, at the start of the 2nd hold. In the other builds, it usually happens slightly earlier.

I have tried multiple wiimotes to ensure that It's not a hardward fault / batteries etc.
I have tried disabling the overclocking of my PC, made no difference.
I was originally using the sensor bar off my wii and thought that might be the issue (ie the real wii taking over the bluetooth connection, but just purchased a battery powered sensor bar, and it has made no difference, still the wiimote drops out after a few minutes.

Not sure what else I can try.. If anyone has any ideas I would be most greatful.

Windows 7 x64, i5-2500K @ 4.5ghz, ATI 6950, 4gb ram.
One Last thing I forgot to mention is that I also tried the Blue Soleil bluetooth stack, and had the exact same errors. The only thing I can think of at this point is to try another blue tooth usb dongle..

If anyone has any other ideas I would love to know.

Thanks

For those that are interested, going back to an old version (6970) of dolphin fixes the wiimote issue. Version 3.0 still has the issues.

6970 fixed all issues that i experienced with the wiimote's dropping out. So this begs the question.. is something terribly broken in all versions since 6970 to current with real wiimotes? I can only get less than 50% of my games to hold a stable connection to the wiimote on any version > 3.0 ??

or are there some new settings / enhancements in the latetest versions that can be switched on/off to give a more stable wiimote connection?

THANKS!!

Same hear, it's seams this problem is successfully ignored.

After couple weaks with Dolphion, i manage to understand grafik and audio settings. But Wiimotes, no luck. I have 3 different bluetouch adapters. I am glad if i get working one Wiimote, not even thinking about second.

Dolphin is awesome, but this seems ridiculous that such a HUGE issue would be ignored. dolphin is basically broken > 6970, unless you want to play with your mouse.. go figure.

Seriously, who gives a crap about the wiimote audio. It's the first thing I swtiched off when i saw their was an option to do so, I understand they may want perfect emulation, but this is a gimmicky addon to the wii that really adds nothing to gameplay.

Does anybody know of a way to improve compatibility / stability of wiimotes in recent builds??

Now I see real Wiimote support is not 100% this explains why I can't get MK to work even after installing IOS17. Ima google build 6970
