Hello there
Apologies if this has been covered before, I have read a few threads here but I'm yet to find anything helpful to the specific issues I'm having with a wiimote/nunchuck I've purchased for using with Dolphin...
I purchased one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120903770845?s...1497.l2649
It's a 3rd party remote/nunchuck, probably made in China so yeah I should probably expect problems, right?
It appears to work reasonably well though so far but I am having a couple of issues with it.
1. In Goldeneye I've reset the controls to default (by pressing C in the options menus) and now the nunchuck stick doesn't work properly, when I have the nunchuck set as the turn control it will only turn in one direction (which was left last time I tried) and it will only look in 1 direction also (up the last time I tried it). No matter which way I push the stick both ends of each axis give the same result as the other end of the axis.
I don't currently have a sensor bar though (waiting for Amazon to deliver one I've ordered) so I'm not sure if this is the cause of the problem (although I think it unlikely as I've tried setting the option for "turn when aiming off screen" to NO in the options), I just wanted to see if Goldeneye worked with my wii remote albeit without any aiming.
2. In Star Wars the Force Unleashed I'm getting frequent issues with the motions. In the beginning you come to a part where you have to shake the nunchuck while holding Z to force lightning an object to progress, however no movements, like shaking either of them, on the wii remote or the nunchuck are registered.
3. I've also had both of these games tell me the connection to the wii remote has been dropped. I seem to be able to get around this by pressing ALT+F5 but it's still rather annoying and ALT+F5 doesn't always seem to work properly.
I'm using (mostly) Dolphin 3.0 r415 x64 but I have also tried other revisions without much joy.
I have tried connecting the Wii remote to the Microsoft Stack, to a Bluesoleil stack and also to the Toshiba Stack that has been mentioned in other threads I've looked at for some answers. I've also tried using WiiPair to "permanently" pair the Wii remote.
If anyone can help me out with these issues I'd be most grateful.
Many thanks.
