I recently got Dolphin, and I really wanted to play Wind Waker on it. I was able to use my wired XBOX controller (360 pad) as a classic controller for the wii. I was also able to configure my controls on the GCpad section. but when I launch Wind Waker, it doesnt recognize the controls at all (I can't do anything). When I went back to the GCpad settings, it was able to detect it. What's going on? If this has already been answered (I've googled it but nothing can up) you could link me to that too. Thanks!

Please fill out your profile in more detail. Instead of "Intel", it should be something like "Intel i5-2500K", or whatever the case may be. If you ever have other issues, people will go there to see what kind of a PC you're using.

You're using an outdated build from an unofficial Dolphin site, use the download link at the top of the forum to download the latest development version.

As for your actual problem, go to: Config/Gamecube in the Dolphin options and make sure that "Port 1" has "Standard Controller" selected.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1
CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1)
RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333

Okay, my bad. I will.

It is set to standard controller, and I'll download the new one. Thanks!

I got it! Mods, you can close this thread if you want. I had pad one as the keyboard, when it should be my 360 pad. Sometimes I'm an idiot.

No you a just new to it all. I have no interest in country music. I know for a fact I could not play a good honkey talk or what ever they call it. Though I dont feel that qualifies one as an idiot.

Oh and threads don't get closed just because they are resolved. I know some forums do that but not here. Ask all you want, your not regarded as an idiot. Please do search first though.
