I downloaded it and ran it, all excited to dump Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, then Avast pops up, blocks it and says it blocked Adware. Why is this? Are the thread and FAQ outdated? Not exactly keen on this software now, so is there anything else out there that will do the trick?

Avast ...Anti-virus softwares are stupid and interfere Dolphin . You should disable all of them or add Rawdump & Dolphin to Avast's safe list (whatever it's called) before using Dolphin

Actually, Dolphin runs perfectly with Avast. I've been using it for ages with my friend's games. When I ran the installer .exe for Rawdump, it said it was Adware.

You can never convince some people of these things. If their Anti-Virus tells them something, it's pretty hard for them to get their mind around the fact that there is a possibility that it might be wrong. Most "normal" people don't question what their Anti-Virus software tells them. Some people just don't know any better.

Just trying to be safe here. I'm not a programmer but I'm not stupid, Avast is a well-known virus software program, I'm not going to take advice from someone until I have proof.

I am currently questioning it, and I've been asking around on other sites but I'm not going to take someones word I don't know and risk my computer being infested with ads. I collect information and evidence from multiple sources before I do anything.

I haven't tried it yet, I suppose I should search for it now, unless you have the link for the official page?

Then what are you doing here? If you're not going to believe the answers we give, stop asking us questions.

Nobody said such a thing.

Well the only thing we can tell you is that Rawdump is also a well-known tool and a lot of people have been using it. So that would tend to prove Rawdump isn't 100% bad Big Grin .

Of course. We can't blame you for this
