It's been a while since I became neobrain and he became me, so we could do that again. I could come up with some fancy press release about dropping support for Windows in order to focus on a Nintendo-funded port to the Switch which would cost £280, and see how upset people got.

I would never do such a thing - just make the interpreter + SW renderer the defaults, then Dolphin will trivially work on all platforms. As a bonus, we can indeed throw out all the unnecessary Windows-specific bits such as D3D and stuff, though! Also, tfw this thread is still active. 10-16-2018, 06:58 AM
Look who's back!
Avell A70 MOB: Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060, 32 GB DDR4-3200, Windows 11 (Insider Preview)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2)
I guess his S9+ was imported and he only had the seller's warranty or something like that? AFAICT smartphones bought at official sources have at least one year warranty (even more if you're in Europe, AFAIK) and, well, S9/Note 9 lines aren't on the market for long enough to have their (official) warranties expired even if you bought them at day one...

I still lurk. I just never really see anything interesting enough for me to feel the need to post about it. And my days of correcting people's misinformation in the hardware section are long gone since I just don't have the time anymore.

It's not a full blown thesis but a mini project, I've targeted a local teaching hospital that uses a file system and want to investigate just how much a medical database could improve their operations. I just find myself extremely pressed for time at the moment cause I have exams coming up, a teaching job and somehow have to find time for the paper as well
