Last time I checked, Youtube stores "disable autoplay" as a per-browser cookie, instead of saving in my account. I clear cookies on browser exit to prevent cross-session tracking. So that would reenable autoplay whenever I reopened the browser.

They probably implemented it that way because they don't want you to disable globally, they have opportunities to reenable it, and they get more watches, ads, and sweet $$$$$$. (Is there a browser extension or userscript to block Soundcloud autoplay?) (I don't even like Soundcloud, the heavy-looking interface, music artists, or 128kbps MP3.)

hm, still my phone doesn't do autoplay either so idk. its true i dont clear cookies on pc that often so idk. dont care anyway XD
