Also there is some legal torrenting, like how Ubuntu distributes their releases for download (the only example I know of)

I've only heard bad things about Saudi Arabia's protection of citizens.

Congrats! I'm still not interested in this game. After how poorly Nintendo handled making enough copies of the Special Edition, and all the East-to-West localization madness (mostly overreactions, but the noise around this game turned me off). At any rate, it's still a great game to have in your 3DS collection. Treasure it, man. 08-07-2016, 09:42 AM

So I've been hacked a week ago or so. Luckily I logged into my gmail and saw the attempt was like 15 mins ago so I changed my pass habits and changed all the credentials from services I use remember and use frequently as soon as possible. It started on HumbleBundle but luckily they couldn't do much due to 2FA. They tried to gain access to many different places and managed to get into my Twitter. I know this because I got an email from people thanking me for following them. So I'm following like 300 random people now.
random logins: (Show Spoiler)
And yeah let this be a lesson for those who read it. Use unique and complex passwords for everything even if its a pain. I've never been hacked before (even though it was only a matter of time tbh), but due to HumbleBundles weakness, they know at least one of my passes. Edit: Looking at the Twitter logins, that one may have been compromised a bit earlier. Edit2: And before you ask: no I didn't/don't only use one password. And no they couldn't login to my Dolphin account. They could've only gotten access to probably those two only (unless I'm forgetting some random service I ever signed up for). Edit3: Some Chrome extension seems to do the job for Twitter. 08-08-2016, 07:47 AM
Good thing you managed to recover from that hack.
Someone tried to hack my brother Steam account once. The connexion came from Indonesia. That day I took a paper and created complex passwords for all sensitive accounts I have. If you still decide to use non unique passwords sometimes, don't use them on little or non-professionnal websites where the security level is potentially low (hello MD5).
From France with love.

If you don't use multiple OSes at once, keepass + dropbox + browser plugin works well*
Otherwise, a password generator and your browser's password store + sync is probably is good enough if you aren't concerned about local security or have a solution to deal with that (LUKS / Bitlocker). * keepass' dropbox plugin has crappy non-windows support and opening the file directly on dropbox causes file lock issues. |
