Is that really the general consensus? Sonic Boom is an unplayable mess, while I quite enjoyed Lost World...

The main complaint I saw for the game is that, basically it wasn't the style of sonic game they wanted (Which people say about every sonic game nowadays ).

yeah, even though the sonic adventure games were horrible, broken messes with absolute crap level design, using the chaos as a crutch (which apparently worked).

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is the best 100%.  I find the Sonic Rush to be good. The criticism about it is that it is too fast. Not even joking. Unleashed was decent. People didn't like the Werehog but I found it to be okay. Colors is amazing. Generations as well. I need to play Lost World but I'll probably find it good. The only Sonic Games I think are bad are Secret Rings (Bad Controls and weird difficulty) 06 (lolBad) and Black Knight ( Basically Secret Rings problems but laggier controls and broken gameplay)

Many friends wanted to kill me when I stopped playing Sonic Adventure. I actually have the DX edition for PC and the overall presentation (graphics, voices, music, etc) is very good (especially considering that the game was originally released in 1999). But that camera system, oh man, what a mess! I tried to play the game but didn't go much further just because of the many cheap deaths and crazy camera movements for seemingly no reason, and then I just abandoned that game. I heard they improved the camera a lot in Sonic Adventure 2 but I hadn't any chance to play it, so I can't talk about its sequel. My tastes for Sonic games are kind of weird for the most people, like, Sonic Unleashed, followed by Sonic Generations still are the best Sonic games ever in my opinion, but many disagree. I didn't like Sonic Adventure yet it have critical acclaim. And to finish Sonic 06 cold have been enjoyable if it didn't have the huge amount of bugs and it still is listed in many publications as the worst game ever...

To add to the Sonic 06 crapness as I never played it, but saw a review on it done. Lets just say one of the levels was so badly developed and glitched that it was not worth seeing the review any further (and yes is the water level where you have to fly with Tails and if you don't watch where your going the dock breaks and drown into the abyss of hell). Sonic Generations and Colors are the best so far for me, never tried Adventure 2 Battle.

Oh man, I still need to beat Sonic Rush (it was an '05 Christmas gift too) and Rush Adventure (got it used at GameStop earlier this year). You guys are giving me the urge to splurge on Sonic games right now

The PC port (and subsequent PS3 port) of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle fixed the stupid camera controls.

Just wanted to pop in to let everyone know I may not be on much if at all or at least my posting will slow/cease. My father passed away last Friday morning. Right now we are in a lot of pain and grieving. I have the weight of a lot of responsibility and things to worry about coming down on me at one, as my mother and sister. I am going to be taking care of mom and my sister, helping them out with everything and sticking close so we can be there for each other. I may move back in with them.

I made my father/mother that promise if anything were to happen to either of them I'd be there for them to take care of them. I owe a lot to my parents, if it weren't for them I would have turned out different - likely for the worse. My parents have always been there for us, took care of us and defended us. My dad was devoted to working to provide for his family. We were all so close.
