I've had to put off this testing I talked about for one reason: something's causing one of my CPU cores to be blocked up almost entirely by system interrupts at random for really long stretches of time, and I'd never be able to get a reliable result. I've narrowed a list of things it could be, realistically, and I'm not amused. At this point, it's probably either my audio driver, controller driver, something to do with drives, and an unstable overclock triggering any one of those to suddenly go crazy, or even throw off system timing on one of my cores and require the system to be interrupted trying to resync, but failing at resyncing.
Any ideas as to how I might stop the great disabler and get these test results that I'm not even sure are needed anymore?

in a perfect world we would all be piles of sand with no ability to form coherent bodies of body
