In your opinion, sure. The thing is, EA has convinced enough people otherwise; just look at Metacritic. Even the user reviews (which are probably more honest than "real" critics) are split between "great" and "sucks". As long as those people exist (the kind that say its good), EA will see that as justification for the price, and in some sense they'll be justified in putting it at that price (capitalism, that's what you get...).

I played the beta of Titanfall, and it was definitely a game I'd buy... if it wasn't so stupidly expensive. I'd just feel guilty playing anything I'd paid less for until I'd got my money's worth (or completely bored). It definitely didn't suck.

Which would you regret more? Paying $35 (or your equivalent UK money) for a game you'd normally pay less for or missing out entirely on a game (for the foreseeable future anyway) you want to play? The choice is on you, but imo, I would swallow my pride, bite the bullet, and just buy the stupid thing. Trade cash for fun and enjoy yourself for a change (no pun intended).

Actually they did. At least for PCs. Games are objectively much cheaper now than they used to be. Both on average and for AAA games. Games that were selling in the tens of millions last year can now be had for <$10 during a sale. That shit never used to happen.

Well I was referring to new games from the aforementioned "top" publishers. You'll always see those games going for $49.99 and even now $59.99 a pop no matter whether it's a physical or digital copy. Sure we may get lucky with a lower price but in my experience those cases are recent PC ports of older titles that wouldn't sell well at the usual new game price point.

Why the heck haven't I got laid yet? All the chicks seem to gravitate towards the douches, pricks, assholes and bad boys. Do I need to be bad? Obviously it's more than just being a dick/asshole to some and even if I speak confidently I still have yet to get some action and a slice of pie.

Say what you will but over the years of social rejection, romantic rejections, being timid and fear of being assertive to speak up for myself I've grown tired of living my life like that. Generally I'm a decent person, great to chat with, very polite unless someone rubs me the wrong way. If someone responds to me negatively to me or attacks me personally I'm not just going to sit back and take it anymore. Although the latter would seem like a less stressful option it's actually not due to my tendency to dwell on stuff like that. But once I've said my part then ignore the rest I can be more at peace that it's off my chest despite the whole aura surrounding internet arguments lel. Even if internet arguments are futile steam has been blown off and I can rest easier.

Well I guess it's out now so I might as well respond. No you're not a terrible person. No I don't hate your guts. No you're not stupid. No not all women love assholes. Some might but if you apply that label to all women then you're generalizing. The reason it may seem that way sometimes is because those "assholes" are people that actually go for it. Many "nerds" don't talk to women and assume that because those women don't somehow telepathically know they're nice and go out with them that they're just "bitches who only date assholes". I've seen it so many times now. Otherwise rational people who pull this crap. And those "assholes" are often people that they don't know and are just judging based on their outward appearance because they won't talk to them either. People that are strong, fit, outgoing, and play sports are often assumed to be assholes by those who fit into a different social category. Sometimes it's jealousy. Sometimes it's just ignorance of other groups of people that had a different upbringing that they might not be able to relate to. Some of them are assholes, but not all of them. So just avoid the ones that are. And there is also appearance of course. Your chances of getting a date will go down tremendously if you are unfit or unhygienic. Physical attraction is important for any relationship. Some people pretend it's not but that's just not a realistic position to take. I may know nothing about women but I try not to judge them for who they choose to date.

Of course it's better to just not get angry in the first place. Some of these seem pretty petty but who am I to judge given my history. The internet has the power to turn people into monsters due to the protection of anonymity. It's much harder to say mean things to someones face, especially if you know you're going to see that person again. Remembering that the people you're responding to are real people just like you helps in this regard. And of course try not to take things personally. I have often found that if you can't think of a calm way to diffuse the situation it's better to just ignore it. I've gotten much better at both in the last few years which I'm proud of.

I wish I could go into more details about what I've gone through, overcame and how far I've come over the year. The fear of being judged lingers over me especially with randoms on internet based forums that can be cruel and misunderstanding but then again I realize there are also people just like myself. I kind of find the members on the forum I linked to are pretty much overreacting, overcomplicating what I requested and are cherry picking my posts. The other guy just went for the throat even though my intentions are well and am trying to take responsibility, I just found it kind of odd I could be held to a contract I never saw or signed. Not only that but when I originally signed up I thought I specified month to month without a contract especially since my housing wasn't guaranteed at the time. But I think I was sneakily placed under contract or the rep wasn't very clear and as far as I know my bill didn't reflect any kind of discount to warrant being bound to a contract.
