Just bought a new cooler for my i7. Got a Cooler Master V8 and Arctic Silver 5 to hopefully lower temps a bit. With my current cooling, Thermaltake Frio and Arctic Cooling MX-3, idle temps are between 40C - 45C, load temps are around 60C - 65C. When I run Prime95 my temps go above 80C which is not good. :o
So I got: Cooler Master V8 Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound Assortment pack with several motherboard standoffs, screws, washers, ties etc.. So what next.. Disassemble system, wipe down inside and outside, install new heatsink/fan, reassemble everything and get my side panel back on. Later on I've got a 200mm fan with a broken fin to replace as well as the fan cover on the front of my case. 03-13-2013, 07:33 AM

Either me or my brother may be going to receive my cousin's cast-off GPU(s). I can't remember exactly what it is, but it may be anything as good as two GTX 570s, although it's also possible that it's a single GTX 450.
This is major conjecture though. All I know is that my dad phoned, and asked the following:

I washed my phone by accident about 2 weeks ago just before I went on spring break. I figured I would wait until I got back to replace it since:
1. I don't take calls while I'm on vacation anyways 2. If I did need to make a call I could easily borrow someone else's 3. This was like 4 days before vacation and I was busy with other more important things so I didn't exactly have a lot of time. Anyways now I need a new phone, my carrier is AT&T and no I will not switch since they are the only provider that has coverage where my families summer home is up in the Appalachian mountains in the middle of nowhere (we've tried sprint and verizon). Plus I've generally had good experiences with them. I need recommendations. I've never owned a smartphone before. I've been using some piece of shit basic nokia phone for around 6 or so years now. So obviously I don't know a whole lot about smartphones as I have generally not cared too much about them over the years but I figure now is the time. I won't use an iphone due to my relentless hatred towards apple (plus the cost). Right now I'm leaning towards the samsung galaxy S III since I've heard good things about it and it's pretty affordable with a contract. But I'm not going to make this decision without asking others and doing research first since it's expensive and will lock me into a multi-year contract. What do you guys think since I know some of you are smartphone gurus? The $30 a month data plan is going to suck but when you consider the upgrade price discount it gives you it's closer to $15 a month. So I suppose for anywhere internet access that's not so bad. If only I lived in glorious nippon or europe
