TIL people value money a lot more than their free time.

It's not like you could quit your second job if you actually needed it because OT isn't a dependable/consistent source of income. Also happy bday! Spoiler: Spoiler: Happy late bday:

I'm saying when you have one good job ($20+ an hour) you'll appreciate having only that one job to worry about instead of working two jobs that pay you $11 and $13 an hour. I know people that work full-time at another job and part time at another. If they could drop it down to one job, they'd do it in a heartbeat. If you're getting OT with one job that does decent pay, that's good money. Most people don't walk away from that unless they always get overtime or the job itself is thoroughly crappy. OT for salaried workers, however, sucks unless you're really doing work that will affect your chances of a bonus or promotion or you really, really love your job. lol but your kind of right NV about the evil part giving me a last second notice of overtime day knowing there is going to be a snow storm and people that take buses wont make it and yea it does get tiring standing for long periods of time waking up in the middle of the day just to work the whole night just to sleep wake up only to realize you have few hours to do anything only shower eat and preparing....well its better than freezing out in the cold homeless

Some people actually like/care about their job enough to not care too much about OT when it's needed. When this is the case, it's really good when it is remunerated as such. * delroth posts that from work at 9PM, been there for 10h today because I'd like to complete something. But my OT is not paid more since I don't really have a set number of hours per day/week/month 12-17-2013, 09:31 AM

I do actually like my job. And come to think of it have never really "hated" any of my previous jobs. But it really sucks when you have plans and suddenly your schedule is changed. Volunteering for OT is one thing but being forced into it is another. That's what yodenny is complaining about (I think). It may be a bit different in your case since you have deadlines for projects.

Beat Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep last night (well, early this morning technically) on PPSSPP. I'm still blown away with this emulator every time I play it. I actually really like the "native" interface; hacked it to run fullscreen at 1080p and it's great. KH:BBS was comparable to playing KH2 on PCSX2. Currently playing Valkyria Chronicles II, though the level of graphical detail obviously doesn't match the first game's PS3 entry. I still have a backlog of PSP RPGs that I never finished, but PPSSPP is some really nice incentive to finish or replay a lot of them
