I just thought of an idea that should work but don't feel like testing it: Have a wiimote and bluetooth adapter; don't have a light bar? Take your wii to near where you need your light bar, plug it up, plug the light bar into the wii and set it where you need it. This whole process is just so we can turn the light bar on. Now that it's on connect the Wii mote to the computer like you normally would.
Theoretically, since the light bar doesn't send info back to the wii, you don't actually need one plugged up to your PC for emulation. The Wiimote should now, in theory work perfectly fine. This also puts the wii in the sad state of being used exclusively for turning light bars on while something better than it emulates it.
Part of me wishes I thought this up sooner so I could try it to save ten dollars.
