I didn't, I meant exactly what I said. Modern video games (in general) have too many cutscenes and quick time events.

I said nothing about cinematic trailers.
I can understand how my original post may have been a bit too vague (as it was meant to be quick joke) but I thought I was pretty thorough in clarifying my position in my follow up post.
CDI seems to be talking about BOTH cutscenes and cinematics (mainly trailers). I don't really care so much about trailers, my biggest issue is with the finished products being more of a movie than a game and how that trend seems to be slowly gaining ground year to year. It certainly hasn't taken over completely yet but I can easily see it becoming the norm for nearly all AAA games within 5-10 years if things continue the way they currently are. To give you an example while fans seemed to be fawning over the new spider man game I was horrified at how 80%+ of the "gameplay" was long cutscenes with occasional quick time events. To me that just completely kills immersion when a game throws you into a noninteractive sequence all of the sudden while you're walking through the level. But people are still buying these games in droves and giving them good reviews so clearly it doesn't bother everyone the same way it bothers me.
Edit: In case there is any confusion I should clarify that as far as I am concerned (and I think most gamers would agree with me):
Cutscenes = In-game non-interactive or quick time sequences rendered by the engine.
Cinematics = Prerendered sequences. Either in game or as part of a trailer.
