turned the partition with all of my work and my windows install into swap space
went to turn it back and it started writing over it all with zeroes
I've just lost all of my work, including the only existing copy of a wip for a huge paid project, and all of my work for a metal album I've been working on for the past year
on top of that now, I can't relief any of this stress with video games now
I want to curl up in a hole and stay there until dead
Assuming you stopped it, it should have just trashed the Windows install, right? That would be at the beginning of the drive. Shouldn't it still be possible to recover most of the files?
I could be wrong, but I did something similar to a thumb drive by mistake and was able to recover most of it.

so, I just got an xbone and the first game i bought was Dark Souls 2. as a fan of Dark Souls, I assumed this game would be just as challenging and rewarding as its predecessor, and then i was like, "fuck you bandai namco, there are bonfires everywhere"
seriously though, i beat one of the great souls within the first 10 hours of the game and it only took me two tries. this game better get hard soon...

I only died constantly on my way to the pirate ship thingy, which was more annoying than difficult.

Managed to fix my parents mower. It would refuse to turn over, took several pulls on the cord before it would turn over and would immediately stall out. Cleaned carburetor, minor adjustment on carb, throttle, idle speed. Cleaned spark plug, installed new air filter, changed gas. Now turns over in one pull and stays running. One down and two more mowers to go.

Sound like a job well done; well you still have two more, but you get the idea. You seem to know a thing or two about those machines. Me? I'd just buy a new one if mine so much as coughed the wrong way Anyway, good luck.

Can't wait until one requires extensive work like cracking open the engine. Think I needs some more tools before I get into that.

it's a bit abusive of moderation powers to edit someone else's post without prompt to change what they've said, isn't it?
in a perfect world we would all be piles of sand with no ability to form coherent bodies of body
