So I am experiencing some stutter issues in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The games runs great, but randomly it will lock up and drop to like 20-30 fps for a second or two. The stutters occur in every game mode. There is no pattern to when the stutter happens. I am currently running the lastest Dolphin build (5.0-6031) and have also tried the stable 5.0 build with no luck. I attached pictures of all my settings. I have tried all the backends, IR ranging from 1x-6x, and all 3 ubershaders settings.

My pc specs are:
i7 4790k 4.4ghz
EVGA 1080
16gb 1866mhz ram
Windows 10 64 bit

Any help would be great!

My guess is that whatever custom textures you're loading is causing the issue.

Try turning off custom textures.

vsync is the next option to try.

Additionally, this won't fix your issue, but keep aspect ratio on auto unless you have a specific need to change it (usually some widescreen hack)

You the man Helios!!! Turning off custom textures fixed it. Is it custom textures in general for that game or did I download a bad pack? Thanks for everything!

Custom textures in general cause stutter, but you can avoid that by turning on Prefetch Custom Textures (if you have enough RAM).

Ahh makes sense. Will give it a try. Is 16gb of ram enough? Thanks for the response!

It depends on how big the texture pack is.

If it's a .dds texture pack, requirements are significantly lower and 16 GB of RAM may work.

If it's .png, good luck
