So apparently Dolphin does some stupid/unusual GPU work, like waiting for a render frame to finish. Is it possible to change it and improve speed? As in very difficult to get right even with ten or twenty full-time paid experts, possible with major changes, or possible but just not working on it yet?
Not going to mention getting isopropyl alcohol in my eye. also, the new logo shows a dolphin missing a huge section of its body, held together only by its head.

Pretty sure this the wrong section to post this. What are you trying to say?

Not sure exactly what he's saying but dolphin does a lot of "stupid" stuff including stalling the video thread because it's an emulator. It must maintain accurate behavior including synchronization. This is most likely the answer to his question as far as I can tell.

Oh, so if it's essential to accurate emulation, then that's OK.
I don't know much about the backend, just very interested in the frontend, want to learn more.

No dolphins were harmed in the making of this logo.

Well you need to be more specific with your question if you want a specific answer. I'm just guessing at what you're trying to ask right now. I still don't know which specific piece of code or part of the frontend you're looking at.

Well one of the admins posted a screenshot of some speed-analysis about how "stupid" the rendering thread was and how it slowed down the emulator a lot, in some sort of speed analysis thing or program or something. I don't really remember exactly what.

Well go find the post then. So far all you've told me is "some guy showed me a graph once about some stupid stuff that dolphin does". Which doesn't really tell me much.

OK then. He called it "silly" and then said something. I guess my memory messed up and.or I misinterpreted it.
