Hi there, I've just installed Dolphin for the first time to play SSBM. I got the game up and running successfully, as well as the proper driver for my official GCN controller adapter. Dolphin is seeing the controller fine, but when I start the game I'll continually get random down-left inputs from both the control stick and C stick that I have not made. They seem to happen every ten seconds or so.

I've unplugged both the controller and the adapter itself, as well as restarted Dolphin completely, but nothing seems to fix the problem. I'm running the most recent version of Dolphin as well. I've tried with multiple controllers plugged into multiple ports in the adapter, as well as plugging the adapter itself into multiple USB ports. No luck. I've also reinstalled the driver through Zadig to no avail.

After doing some Googling I found a few other people that seemed to be having the same issue as me, but there didn't seem to be any real answers for the problem. Has anyone else run into this issue, and if so how were you able to fix it?

Thanks.

I even tried downloading a more recent dev build as I found a few threads in the archive claiming that they had the same issue and it wasn't present on dev versions, but the issue is still there even in 5.0-373. Very very frustrating.

A response to a post I made on reddit suggested that I try the 4.0-7840 build. I did so and it seemed to remove the problem with the random downward inputs, but instead it seems to lag or completely skip every other input I make, which is even worse.

FYI I will continually bump this thread until I get some sort of response. Very disappointed that multiple people have been bringing this problem up for months and there's been seemingly zero support in fixing the issue.

As I posted in another thread:

Quote:That means something else is interfering with Dolphin, stealing the adapter, which makes Dolphin temporarily unable to read inputs. Something is broken on your system.

This doesn't seem to happen for everyone, but you are not the first one to report this issue.

Some people may suggest using previous builds. But with those builds, the problem is only masked, and is still there, resulting in dropped inputs instead.
