first of all, specs:

Processor: AMD Phenom II n850 Triple-core processor @ ~2.2ghz
RAM: 4gb
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

I, for the life of me, have not been able to play any gamecube games without having a random freeze. My hardware seems more than capable to handle the games. I don't get any pop up windows or anything, the emulator just freezes and force closes. Any suggestions?

I am attempting to play Zelda: Twilight princess and Sonic adventure 2. Thanks Huh

*Edit* I just wanted to add that the games play perfectly at full speed. I'm starting to think its a windows7 problem?

I am trying to give as much information as possible regarding the problem. Is there any logs I would be able to copy out when it happens again? So I can give to the developers.

No he means he wants you to post your settings.

We also need the revision.

I have this issue with recent revisions as well. It's either a bug or a compiler problem. Just use an older revisions like 6505.

lol 2.2ghz... not sure if that's fast enough but anyway for Zelda TP GC:

1) Download r7282 (pretty stable)
2) General config, click on render to main window
3) DSP, disable throttle
4) GFX config, I used... fractional instead of integral? Click texture.
5) GFX advance tab, disable fog, enable open GL

You should have everything running smooth unless of course your rig ain't fast enough, however, you just have to keep experimenting, maybe even try to turn the FPS from auto to off (careful, it gets really fast). But yeah, experiment with the joint. Smile

@OpticxIllusionz

Did you even read his post?

He's trying to fix the crashing. He doesn't care about performance.

7282 is not stable at all. Take a look at 6505 if you want to see what stable looks like.

Quote:2) General config, click on render to main window

Why? What possible purpose does that serve?

Quote:5) GFX advance tab, disable fog, enable open GL

First of all you meant to say openCL. And secondly, why in gods name would you disable fog and enable openCL? Both of those reduce accuracy for little or no gain.

Thanks for all the repsonses. I seemed to have found a correlation between playing at full screen and the freezing. When it is windowed, the game would studder a bit like it was going to freeze but it doesn't. I'm gonna try out the different revisions you guys are naming out.

*edit*

Ok nvm, it crashes in windows mode as well

Try two things:

1. Try using a 32 bit build, see if that fixes it

2. If it doesn't, try turning off dual core and see if that fixes it
