Windows and it's paging is sometimes retarded. I have 1.5gb left, and it starts paging to hdd. WTH? A new heatsink will cost less than more ram and give you better benefits, mainly quieter and cooler.

Almost all paging OSes do that. They conserve physical memory, don't ask me why.

if dolphin uses 1gb of memory how does it run flawlessly for me with 384mb

I would go for ram and 64bit os. get like 8 gigs. I upgraded to 8gigs for about 70$
CPU: E8500 Not OC
Memory 8 Gigs DDR2-800Mhz
GPU: NVidia GeForce 8800GT 256
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Monitor: LCD TV 42' 720P

as long as it's not the stock heatsink, has copper, heatpipes and is of decent weight/size, it's good. Start learning at http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums.

a did a bit of overclocking 3 ghz to 3.15 ghz very little right i was scared but when i did and i opened pc up after 20 minute it was warm i never new how hot it was before i only overclocked cpu would that make everthing inside pc hotter cause i was just upgrading ram LOL now i have 4 gb of ram LOL Big Grin
