RAM and CPU usage shoot up on latest blog post

Hi there,

I'm running Pale Moon 27.6.1 64-bit and it just started really chugging when I opened the latest blog post. Checking task manager, my CPU usage shot up to over 90% and my memory usage ballooned to well over 1gb. Disabling scripts from dolphin-emu.org using NoScript brought CPU usage back down to almost nothing and closing the tab and then reopening it after forbidding scripts reclaimed the lost memory. This just struck me as kind of weird, though, and I thought I'd report it. As far as I can tell, the latest blog post is the only place where this happens; the site's home page and the forums are completely fine with or without scripts, so it seems like it's something on that particular blog post that's doing it.

A number of browsers were running all of the animations at once, which made the article very intensive! So we set up a javascript that only loads videos if they are on your screen. That javascript has taken care of all of the performance issues on every browser we've tested, including firefox (which Pale Moon is based). Are you blocking all javascript by default? Or blocking gfycat javascript?

The only scripts I was blocking originally were google-analytics, googlesyndication, and doubleclick. gfycat, jquery, and other domains were allowed. The only additional domain I tried disabling to fix the issue was dolphin-emu, and that's what seems to have fixed it. If you want, I can try selectively disabling specific domains and see if there's something more specific causing the issue.
