Ok, there was one thread I seen on this subject/question, but it didn't solve the issue really, well, when I read it, I did not get a solution out of it.

I quote this thread: fire emblem: transfer save from path of radiance to radiant dawn

I heard that we can transfer save of path of radiance from gamecube to wii (radiant dawn), do you guys know how to do this?
when i start new game in radiant dawn (with GC save of path of radiance) I always got this message
fire emblem: path of radiance file on memory card in slot a is corrupt this file need to be deleted
so is there actually a way to convert/transfer saves?
thanks

Are both games from the same region? If not maybe the game searches for the save in a different memory card (there are different GC memory cards saved in dolphin depending on the region of the game).

Personally i have no problem with both games from the same region.

My Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance isos are from different regions.
Path of Radiance - USA
Radiant Dawn - Europe

So how would I fix it/set it up so that Radiant Dawn sees the Path of Radiance saves?
I tried copying the GC memcard into the Wii saves folder, renaming it to ".dat" and that did not work. I am still playing around with it, trying to get Radiant Dawn to recognize the saves. Any help would be appreciated. And no, I do not have any Path of Radiance "easy" saves.
I did not see an edit button, so sorry for this extra post, but read that thread must have computer specs, and I forgot to mention them in the above post.
I apologize for this negligence.

Operating System: Windows 7
Processor/CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 3.2GHz
Video Card/GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4800
Memory/RAM: 8GB
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: Dolphin-win-x64-v3.0-377

Seen this:

In other words, just play the PAL game and "format" the card (with memory card selected for slot a or b, whichever the game uses). Then MemoryCardA.EUR.raw will be created in the same location you have chosen in the memcard path dialog.

But do not have a PAL GC game handy.
And even if I did do that and get a .EUR out of it, would I even be able to copy over my .USA saves to it?

Edit / Update:

Tested that.. Radiant Dawn doesn't even so much as prompt to transfer.
And I double-checked.. had the .USA Path of Radiance data on the .EUR GC memcard.
When I copied the data over, there were no errors or prompts.

But.. whenever I select a memcard to use for slot a/b, it asks if I am using the same memcard in both slots.
I put nothing in both, close Dolphin, restart Dolphin, and try it again, and it continues saying that.

Sorry for all of the posts, but seriously, its morning here already, and I've tried several ways, and nothing seems to be working.

game id's are region dependent, so when radiant dawn looks for a save it will look in MemoryCardA.EUR.raw for a gamesave that has the gamecode GFEP01, but your save from the usa path of radiance will have a gamecode of GFEE01.

you could try extracting the save from the memorycard, hex editing the gamecode (first 6 bytes of the gci) and importing it to MemoryCardA.EUR.raw, this may or may not work depending on how different the saves are between regions

I will give that a go. I got a copy of the USA region Radiant Dawn, and there is a ridiculous audio issue I cannot seem to remedy. It constantly skips, and is quite irritating.
The USA version allowed me to transfer and all.. but the audio on it.. I cannot stand.

So thank you. I will test that out now.
Opened in notepad, edited the first six to "GFEP01"
And I get "Imported file has invalid length"
Also tried renaming the first six of the file name, Radiant Dawn still did not recognize it.
Edit/update: I played around with the NTSC version..
Got the in-game audio to be ok.
But during cinematics, there is a horrid, horrid sound. Like 10000 trumpets being blown at the same time without stopping.

I'll upload an image of my current property settings for Radiant Dawn.
Hope I did attachments correctly.

Edit/Update:

Sorry for all of the posting, but I got an update.
I got it.
The audio is working alright, and the cinematics are working alright.
It is mostly at 98+%
And occasionally it'll dip to 70% and go back up to 98%+
(Talking about the speed that Dolphin shows)

My property settings for Radiant Dawn have changed.
Well this is solved. Thanks for your help Dolphin Dev!
Once again, sorry for all of the posting.

Feel free to lock/delete this thread.
Solution: both games have to have the same region coding.

Wow, I'm having this same issue, I do own the game but I no longer own a Wii and I can't find the USA ISO and I tried hex editing the save but it just won't recognize it. In the end, the only thing that would matter for me were the coins and support conversations anyway, I never got any character fully to twenty of the upgraded class, and in fact I don't understand how people do.
