Hey everybody,

although Dolphin can almost flawlessly play most GCN and Wii games today, there are still games which don't work.

I find it really sad that Rabbids Go Home is one of them. I intended to play it on Dolphin but I experienced severe issues.

The FPS are at 300-500, the audio crackles and the cutscenes flicker like hell if you don't enable EFB to RAM. But when you
do, the game slows down to 30 % and lower, hence making it unplayable. I thought that my Alienware would have the capacities
to play the game but it appears that the game itself isn't supported by Dolphin.

I searched for the forum thread of the game just to see that it only contains the wiki article and no discussions whatsoever.

Is there any possibility for you to make the game playable? I know that this is a rather "unimportant" third-party game but
I'd really would like to play it on Dolphin!

Thank you for your help!

It's an extremely demanding game for some reason. Use the latest development version with virtual or real xfb enabled and safe texture cache put in middle. Also leave efb copy to texture, it will still run slow but seems those to be the proper settings for this game.

Ok, the game itself works with this settings but the flickering of the cutscenes is unbearable! The audio crackles awfully and isn't in sync with the cutscene. But with EFB to RAM there's no chance to play this game properly because it just runs at 20 %.

Furthermore, I came to another issue.
You can customize the rabbids in this game and you have three rabbids that you can change. Unfortunately, all of the changes are
automatically copied to the other two rabbids. This isn't the way it should be. Furthermore, sometimes when I customize one of the rabbids and
then choose another, the rabbid appearing is the one that I used before instead of the other one I selected!

I can't replicate the flickering without efb to ram here using the latest dev and neither the out of sync audio with the settings above. Which cutscenes do you mean exactly, videos? The intro videos run without flickering here though and so do some ingame cutscenes in the first stage with the settings above. Also when reporting issues always use the latest dev version as base since something might already be fixed.

I always use the newest dev build but they are updated so frequently that it's hard to keep track of them. As of this post, I use 4.0-3373.
I mean the video cutscenes, yes. The videos before a level begins where the rabbids are styled as comic characters,
and the video after a level is complete, where the rabbids go through the canalisation.

All these videos are flashing violently in a yellow light, like a stroboscope, when EFB to Texture is activated.

I'm sorry to bump this but I'd really like to play this game without getting head ache from the flickering. Could I open it as a new issue at Google Code? I'll try this.

I just DLed the latest build and i'm having the same issues on my AMD AND intel system. Well let me clarify i jsut tried the latest build on my intel system. a month or a few weeks ago i tried the the latest build AT THAT TIME on my AMD system, same issue. but, i think the video play back is getting worse.

EDIT: last timei heard this game was missing the game.ini, i found RGWX41 in the game ini directory but, it lacks any settings, it's just comentations.
