Hello all,
I am quite new to this forum but I'm feeling increasingly bummed out right now.
I currently do not have a job, so every penny I can save is awesome. Naturally, money for the wii+games+controllers etc is a bit steep, and I've been wanting to play some games for so long already!
The original wiimotes are also quite expensive (in dollars, with the nunchuck, they come in at about 70-80$) so I looked around the net and found a Qware remote with nunchuck for about half the price. It says it's compatible with motion plus.
Now here's my problem;
Prior to buying this one, I tested with a borrowed wiimote to see if it'd work on here, and while it took me about a day and a half to get it to work, the lights did finally stop flashing and it did vibrate when connecting to dolphin.
Now, with my fresh out of the box Qware wiimote, I am having the same problem, but I just can't remember how I solved it back then if it'd even work for this one!
My mac's bluetooth finds it fine- when I first connected it I paired it with my mac and remembered reading it doesn't connect well to dolphin when its paired, so I deleted it from the devices list about a 1000 times after that. It does say "Paired: no" and now when I attempt to pair it it doesn't even do that anymore, it just hangs on the "Attempting to pair with" screen, but this is besides the point. It comes up as a Nintendo RVL-CNT-01
In dolphin, I make sure my first one is set to real wiimote and the rest to none.
When hitting refresh, instead of pressing 1+2, I have to press the sync button to have dolphin find it. Now the odd thing is, it does find it (usually right away) and says it's connected, but the lights keep blinking away and it hasn't vibrated. This happens on Dolphin 3.0, 3.5, and 3.0-415, it seems that the newer builds don't detect it and some weren't compatible with my MAC OSX (10.6.8)
Does anyone know what to do about it? Am I better off buying the more expensive original wiimote? And If I can return this Qware wiimote (which is going to be difficult when its already opened), do the wiimotes with build in motion plus work? Any help would be appreciated!
I have read some other threads but they weren't a huge help, and 90% of them were Windows issues, not MAC
