hi all,
recently i had a thought on whther or not to upgrade my xaimoi note 8 pro to xaimoi note 9 pro,
since on xaomi note 8 pro, there are some GC/WII games that don't play at all well, while most do, some do not
no matter what tweaks or hacks are used on them.

so i was wondering if it is wroth spending $200-190 to buy a note 9 pro over the existing note 8 pro that i have been using for a year now.
just to be able to play these games better than ATM?

here are my questions on this before i buy the new device (if even):

1) are these specific games more playble or playble on note 9 pro over the note 8 pro? like 100% or close to that:

GC: (6)

Pokemon XD
Pokemon Collesum
Metriod Prime
Metriod Prime 2
Fire Emblem Path of Radance
Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Askaban

Wii: (8)

Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Metriod Other M
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Sonic and the Black Knight
Sonic And The Secret Rings
Sonic Unleashed
Pokemon Battle Revolution

these games are not playble/have issues on note 8 pro, there like 8 + 6 = 13 games not playable on note 8 pro.

the rest of my GC/WII games are playble on note 8 pro.

my entire library of GC/Wii games are like 60-70% playable on note 8 pro, with that 13 games not working at all.

so, on note 9 pro, this will be like 80-90% playable over the note 8 pro?

2) if i get a note 9 pro, how can i transfer all my existing data from note 8 pro to note 9 pro?

3) will i need to format my sd card to work for note 9 pro or will it work fine without fromat? just taje it from note 8 pro and stick it into
note 9 pro?

4) will the Ipgea 9087S fit the note 9 pro? the note 8 pro fits the gamepad fine, just wondering.

5) if the above non working gc/wii games play even better on note 9 pro over the 8 that would be great, along with the wokring games
from note 8 pro. since the note 9 pro has a Snapdragon 720, over the helio G90.

thanx

I have the 9 pro that you think about, and it runs very many GC/Wii games well on the MMJ builds. Some games may play in slow-mo by default (20-40fps) and you'll need to lower the CPU clock speed and/or disable sync on skip idle. A few games may crash randomly and it can be fixed by lowering the CPU clock speed and/or switching to single core.

On the official builds some games are also playable the same as on MMJ, some have issues (lags, crashes, artifacts) that have been fixed only on MMJ. Also some games still work correctly only on official builds.

I can warn you that some games are laggy even with fastest devices. For example, Disney's trio of destruction (Infinity, Cars 2, Toy Story 3). Those titles have anti-emulation code specifically targeting Dolphin. JosJuice hacked it in 2017, but the games still run only in single-digit FPS.

It was someone else, actually.
