Questions about a new pc.

I am looking to upgrade my pc within the month and am curious as to what kind of performance I might be able to get. I am currently playing Rune Factory Frontier with my Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5ghz and a Radeon HD 4850. I do ok with 2x native resolution, and am usually at 30 fps (I think the game is capped at 30?) Anyhow, I am planning to get an Intel I5-6600K 3.5 along with a Nvidia 970 GTX. What kind of settings might I be able to run in RFF? If I want to try say Xenoblade (which I understand is pretty intensive) will the stock speed along with the built in turbo boost on the CPU be enough, or do you think I might need to OC? Would the extra 500 mhz from the I7 be worth investing in? Thanks for any info.
