Question: Unsupported Bluetooth Device error

A while back I purchased a -TR wiimote back when I was transitioning from my wii to dolphin. Upon discovering that the -TR wiimotes only worked with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack I installed it and tricked it into using my windows computer's internal bluetooth adapter.

Dolphin now does not recognize the bluetooth when I hit the pair up button, though it connects when the device(s) are connected in the bluetooth assistant and the refresh button is hit.

I did some looking around and it seems that the Toshiba Stack changes bluetooth device listing in Device Manager from "Bluetooth Radio" to "Bluetooth". Is it possible that this is the reason the Dolphin can no longer recognize the device and would it be something that can be fixed.

that's pretty clear, the Pair up feature works only with the MS stack. Connect your Wiimote via the Toshiba Bluetooth stack control center

btw: False forum, pls move (@Mods)

Thank you for letting me know that I had posted in the wrong forum, but my question was not 'how to pair with the toshiba stack?', which I already understood and indicated in the second part of the sentence that you quoted. Rather, I was inquiring: 'Why can only the Microsoft Stack work with the pair up function?', and further 'Do we know if it is impossible to make it work with non-Microsoft Stacks?'.

I don't know, but maybe another user or an experienced developer can answer this.
