Question regarding netplay

I wanted to try out the new netplay feature on the latest build as of writing this (4.0-3557)
Im not really sure how to use the address? Do i use my ip adress as host or do i have to use hamachi or something similiar? It looks a bit harder to use from the netplay branch.

CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.0 GHz l GPU: GTX 960 4GB l RAM: 16GB
