I have a problem: I have 2 GB of Ram in my pc, but windows 7 x64 says only 1gb is usable, even though bios, cpu-z, directx shows my ram as 2048 mb.
What's the matter?

Here I dig out the following...
1. run msconfig.exe
2. Select Boot rab
3. Select Advanced option button
4. If Maximum memory button is enabled, disable it.

This regulates the amount of RAM to be used by OS. I accidently set this to 256 and my PC was slow as a hell...!!!!!

Your motherboard probably shuts off at a certain amount of random access memory. What motherboard do you have?
And i must ask, have you ever been able to successfully use 2Gb of memory on that computer?

It's new and my motherboard is Foxconn G31MX series.
No, because this ram was ''included'' with this pc. Ram=infineon and bios says something about dual channel 800 mhz
motherboard says this:
Dual channel DDR2 800/667 x 2 DIMMs, Max 4GB
I have 2x1 gb infineon 800 mhz so it should function.

This is very strange... whenever I remove one, does not matter which one, bios success boot success but afterwards you see cursor with black screen and nothing happens 0_o
This PC is cursed! lol
