How much slower is virtual XFB than no XFB? For example, I have virtual XFB enabled for Xenoblade to fix the intro "reading disc" slowness, and I don't seem to notice any slowdown compared to no XFB. I hardly think it's because my CPU is good enough to take anything I throw at it, so is there any difference at all? If not, why not just have virtual XFB enabled all the time?
Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant or not, but I'm talking specifically about OGL.
