I'm interested in buying one from amazon, is there a way to know if there will be newer revisions of it? Is it worth waiting to buy one if a new revision is coming out soon?

The (current) dolphinbar doesn't support Passthrough https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Bluetooth_Passthrough
Currently the best thing is to solder a wii bluetooth module to usb and to use a sensor bar. There are other bluetooth modules that are close to the wii's.
Mayflash is coming out with a new model soon™. Whether it uses the wii's bluetooth or something that is just good is unknown.

So it would be best to either not buy the Dolphin bar, or wait to see if they have a new model coming out?

Also, I have a Wii I don't really use anymore, not sure I'd want to take it apart though. Even if I did I'm pretty clueless on soldering and don't have any tools to do so. I saw the thread about using the blutooth module from the wii but it looked it was still WIP unless you had good experience soldering.

I still don't have the tools or knowledge to put it together. I think I'll wait to see if there becomes a better solution.
