Hello,

my question is: Is it possible to disable texture cache in newer revisions?

Not possible. The Texture Cache is always active, but you can adjust the accuracy (Safe, Middle and Fast)

Texture Cache :
fast = disable , do nothing
between "safe" and "fast" = normal (enable)
safe = slow

I think it'd be better if there was an option to disable it COMPLETELY ..

I thought button next to "RAM" enables/disables it

As far as I know, this is an option to save textures, so that they don't have to be generated again after restarting a game .. If disabled, the game sometimes lags a few seconds, if a new scene or an object is appearing in a game .. But this slows down emulation very much, so could someone create a disable-box, I really don't mind those few lags..

None of the people who talked on this thread (except neobrain) have an idea about what the texture cache does. Without a working texture cache implementation you would most likely not be able to reach > 5FPS in any game. You can't disable it because having an option to do so would be completely useless.

<@neobrain> that looks sophisticated enough to not be a totally dumb thing to do

How do you know it slows down emulation very much ? How could you posibly test this when there is no disable button ?
I think what you are talking about is shader cache, that certanly shouldnt be disabled, but it should come already build with dolphin Smile ( neobrain once said it would be posible )
