Is Super Mario Galaxy more demanding than Super Mario Sunshine ?

I have Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz, and Geforce 8800GTS 320MB. And super mario Sunshine run at full speed on my computer

Would Galaxy run at full speeds as well ?

Some places, but the game suffers from slowdowns in many areas.
Specs: intel i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz;
16Gb RAM; Raedon HD 7900;
Win8 64-Bit

Yes it is more demanding, not only are some/most levels larger than those on sunshine, SMG also has slightly enhanced/better/improved graphics over Super Mario Sunshine. Don't forget that SMG is a Wii game, which means the Wii is being emulated. The Wii has higher hardware specifications than the Gamecube thus requires more processing power to achieve decent speeds or full speed with most games.

I did run the game on my computer but it did runs slow in most places. It only runs at full speed when I'm standing on small planets

You should definitely OC your CPU , something around 3.0Ghz should be fine to handle anything you throw at it .
Pentium G2120 Ivy Bridge 3.1Ghz
8GB 1333 DDR3
ASUS 560 TI CU2 TOP
Crucial M4 64Gb
