Ok so here I am wanting to invest in the r290, My question is am currently running an radeon 7850 2gb And I would like to play dolphin emulator in 4x internal resolution with 8x antialiasing. But am currently getting 14 fps on twilight princess Wii with the DX11 backend and its not cpu because can run the game just fine without Anti aliasing on.
But thats not the point so my question is will the Radeon r290 allow me to get 60fps with Dolphin's Most Ultimate Resolution. not just Zelda TP but other games too.

Oh an another thing running the radeon 7850 with these settings gpu-z reports that dolphin is only using 800mb out of 2gb for my gpu with the GPU utilization under 99%
why is that. But on pcsx2 I can set the graphics at 8k and gpu-z shows 4gb video ram, while I only have 2gb.

Do you have more FPS with lower resolution ? Your current CPU bottleneck your GPU though . Zelda TP is a very demaanding game . In order to run it (Hyrule Filed later part ) full speed or near full speed , you will need at least i5 4670k stock . If you don't get full speed with lower resolution (and i'm sure you can't) , GPU upgrading won't do

OOps , it misread this . Go ahead and get R9 290 then
Dolphin only require higher memory bandwidth to run games at higher resolution . R9 290 memory bandwidth is 2 times faster than 7850

you miss read me. Am getting full speed period... with my cpu 4.3ghz and 60fps.
The cpu has nothing to do with anything,
To prove my point I can stick a radeon hd5450 in and still get 60fps because the cpu is not the problem.
My cpu isnt a bottle neck cause i get full seed anyways.
The question is I want to max out dolphin emulator to is full graphics settings 4x INTERNAL RESOLUTION + 8x ANTI ALIASING. and i cant do taht with my Radeon 7850 because dolphin want eat up all my video ram like its suppose too.... Will I get the same issue with the radeon r290x, my cpu isnt a bottleneck am sick of the intel fanboys!

You're right . Sorry for being in a hurry . Post edited
Just get R9 290 . R9 290X run extremely hot and its memory bandwidth is the same .
I believe most people even recommend 290 over 290x for PC game

Calling people as fanboys is quite rude ! You don't know i have a AMD mini PC sit next to me right now . I appology for being in a hurry because i have job to attend
In Dolphin , Latest Intel is light years ahead (3->4 years) . It's proved by 2 offcial Dolphin bechmark , steamroller almost has no CPU improvement for Dolphin (single thread) . That's why we always recommend latest Dolphin

Thank You.. Oh and your sure i'll be able to play 4x internal resolution with 8x anti-aliasing with no performance hit on Twilight Princess. Its sill kind of ironic how dolphin is only using 800mb of 2gb on my graphics card, would I expect to see the same issue with the Radeon r290.

People recommend the 290 over the 290x for everything because AMD decided to shy away from actually putting their hearts into reducing the power of the 290, so it's got hardly less cores, the same memory, same memory bandwidth, and a slightly lower clock rate, for $100 less (at least, I think it was $100, it was last time I cared)

EDIT: But, the 290 will last you quite some time. Buy it, it's a cheap, powerful GPU, and it's got support for a level of DX JUST released. And, because of the poor stock thermal solution, there's a plethora of aftermarket coolers out there to put on it, in case you didn't notice that already.

EDIT MORE: Wait... what IS your CPU, might I ask? Just a little bit curious, since it wasn't named.

I doubt the 290 can run Fina's flashback scenes at 4x IR. Even my PC can't handle Fina's flashbacks with higher than 2x IR.
EDIT: The Fina from Skies uber arcadia
