I know it's not allowed to talk about downloading commercial games (such as ISOs, WiiWare, and Virtual Console), but is it ok to talk about where to download homebrew games? I mean homebrew games aren't copyrighted by Nintendo. But when I signed up at this forum, it made no distinction between commercial and homebrew. It just had a checkbox that said I acknowledge I'm not to talk about downloading games. Does that also include homebrew, or did it only mean I can't talk about downloading commercial games?

Yes, that's fine. Talking about downloading things is only forbidden if it would break any copyright laws, essentially.

I understand and acknowledge that downloading games of the internet is illegal cause copyright, but if I own a copy of a game, am I allowed to use that game and have Dolphin run it?

Yes, you are allowed to run games in Dolphin, as long as you don't download them from the internet. For further clarification, this forum operates under mostly US law of copyright and redistribution because it is the most restrictive. Follow those laws, and we don't really have problems with any country's laws, even if they're more lax.
This also makes it very difficult for Nintendo to do shit to us because we're so strict about it. |
