For adreno/Mali/everything, do they operate like PC, where the drivers are functionally unified on the frontend? Or are they different between hardware (I.e adreno 330 is on v66 but 420 is on v15).
Question about driver between hardware

Depends on the vendor really.
Mali has two different hardware sets and along with that two driver sets. ARM Mali Utgard(Mali-200,300,400,450) all run one driver and I think the driver is currently at r3p2. Arm Mali Midgard(Mali-T6xx, Mali-T7xx) all run another driver, which released is r3p0 and not currently available to end users is r4p0. Qualcomm drivers are shared drivers with hardware specific backends. Qualcomm no longer releases drivers for their their a2xx series, the a3xx and a4xx series share a "backend." I don't know how Tegra 2/3/4 work in regard to their driver versions, I assume PowerVR has one driver for all PVR5 hardware and a new driver for PVR6, but without and hardware it is hard to tell. 05-31-2014, 12:26 PM

From my knowledge tegra uses PC style drivers with the back ends being the same. K1 has new drivers though for GL4.4, while the older chips share the 2.1 driver. You'd probably be able to figure out more than I can, since you guys have had more experience with nvidia's PC drivers 05-31-2014, 12:37 PM
K1 is the same driver as their desktop driver. So you can download their ARM binary from their website and install it on the Jetson TK1 board.

So what your saying is, you can use this driver: http://www.nvidia.de/download/driverResu...x/75865/de when running a Tegra K1? |
