Question about Dolphin wiki?

I was wanting to add some testing information and or edit some info, and I do not know how to go about doing so...?

For example I would like to confirm that Timesplitters 3 runs currently much better for my dolphin version on Win 7 x64..

Edit: I have a wiki account and I know 'where' to edit it. But what steps do I take to actually be allowed to edit the information.?

There is no allowing - it's all open. To add a testing entry, just go to the gamepage, and click "edit" in the testing section. Make sure you follow the template and match it up with how all the other entries are as close as you can. Kolano will come behind you to clean up any messes, but please, be nice on the poor guy.

To edit the Problems area, it's pretty much the same idea. But be careful. Don't go adding tons of random settings and saying it works for you (or do that in the testing area, which is what it's for). Each problem will have a specific, reproducible problem and solution (if one is found). So if you are adding a problem, make sure you test as many settings as you can to try to find a culprit or solution.


Oh, and don't get mad at us wiki people for coming in and changing stuff behind you. We're OCD like that, pay it no mind. It's our job to keep things running smoothly and keep the pages consistent and usable, so we have systems that have come out over the years to make it easier on us and keep things clean. And yes, it's also our job to root out incorrect information, so whenever someone changes something we try to test and verify, and remove stuff that isn't valid.

I've been getting daily builds of dolphin from CrimsonRain and noticed changes in performance in a couple of games.
(probably not the best? buuuut them seem quite new since its daily uploads from GitHub)

I love the work the staff do on the site, and very friendly forum so far.

The Dolphin wiki is aimed at the latest development version from the official site. Everything is built around that base. And performance is not our problem. If you are getting good performance out of an old build or (especially) an unofficial build, you can note that in your testing entry, but not elsewhere. This little rule keeps up from having to worry about bugs that don't exist in official builds or outdated versions (though bugs that are fixed in latest dev but are in latest stable are crossed out, and deleted after the next stable).

Interesting, I will reinstall the official from the main site to test that aswell. thanks again for fast response
