question about directx9

I am running windows 7 with dx11, if i update dx9 runtime, will that replace dx11? I dont want that.

it exists software wise but not hardware wise. All updating the runtime does is update parts of dx9 even if you have dx11 it still uses dx9 when it needs to

it will not replace dx11. Just update.
