Question
(Sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong place btw)

I'm currently trying to get Dolphin 3.0 into RPMFusion (Fedora) and it seems that rpmlint has an issue with zero-length files.
I was wondering if someone could tell me the purpose of this file and if it would be safe to remove it:
/usr/share/dolphin-emu/user/GameConfig/WBEEJV.ini

There was no point; I removed the file in revision b251880d8b38.

Btw, I've read about some packaging issues related to Cg - Dolphin won't work without an OpenGL shader compiler.

However, there has been some work on replacing our Cg usage with GLSL. Check the GLSL-master branch for more info. Unfortunately, it's kinda broken on AMD GPUs at the moment... But if you can't get master shipped due to license restrictions because of Cg, it might be a better option.

I've also read about openSSL concerns. We aren't using it at the moment, only the wii-network branch does. The branch is planned to be merged to master anyway though, so it might be an issue in the future.

Thanks for your help! I'll be sure to take note of that in the package spec. The only blocking issue with dolphin at the moment is that bochs_disasm and clrun are being bundled and there is a strict no bundled library policy. I'll have to look into packaging these separately.

At the moment, there isn't really any big issue with Cg and RPMFusion. The only thing restricting dolphin is that it can't be included in the free repo, as it depends on the non-free Cg. To be honest though, the inclusion in the non-free repo is fine for the majority of users. If problems come up though I will consider the GLSL-master branch; thanks for the tip Smile

As for openSSL, if exception can be made in the licensing, similar to wget and climm, it's shouldn't be a issue. Take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenSSL#Licensing

Why am I not surprised?

It's not because of AMD GPUs, it's because of Sonic1's failure of coding copy shaders ... :/
