Hello, all! I wasn't sure if this belonged in the Android section or Support section, so please forgive me if it is misplaced.

A little background before my question: I am trying to run the Android version of Dolphin on my Pixel Slate (Chrome OS tablet) and it is actually running very well with good FPS, but I cannot get my Bluetooth controller to work ingame. I am using a GameSir-G4S and it works great in other emulators and I can map all the buttons in Dolphin controller settings. Once I load a game, however, it won't recognize any inputs.

My real question: I suspect the real problem here is not with the controller or Dolphin or even the device itself, necessarily, but with a setting contained in the three-dot menu in Dolphin during emulation. The problem is that I can't access that menu because it requires swiping down from the top of the screen and that gesture in Chrome OS opens the Overview/multitasking menu. Whenever I switch the orientation of the device (with Lock to landscape turned off) I can briefly see this menu pop up, but cannot access it (I try to tap it as quick as I can but it doesn't register.) I have also tried enabling a flag in Chrome OS which forces the device into clamshell mode, disabling the Overview gesture, but swiping from the top only shows the window controls (minimize, close, etc.) Is there any other way of accessing this three-dot menu, or any way to map it to a button (even on a Bluetooth keyboard, since I am quickly running out of buttons on the controller)?

My setup: I am running the i5, 8gb RAM Pixel Slate, Chrome OS 71 (Beta channel), Android 9, Dolphin 5.0-9186 (current Play Store version; trying to sideload the latest dev build on this site results in "App not installed" error.)

I would love to be able to run this great emulator on this device, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem, and am also on a chromebook (Lenovo Yoga c630). I can configure the controller but not use it in game. (the controller buttons shows up as "ChromeOS Gamepad: Button nnn") I tried following a bunch of tutorials online but none fixed the fixed the problem.

I was able to get to the 3 dot menu by switching from fullscreen to windowed. it did not fix the controller problem, I was able to hide the on screen controls from these menus.

I have a pixelbook and asked this same exact question last week.

No one replied with an answer and no developer or anyone has acknowledged this anywhere.

It's a shame.

Also having the exact same issue. Tried launching in tablet mode, rotating to portrait. I'm on Pixelbook as well. Gonna try USB Xbox Controller and see if that works.

So I came up with a workaround...sort of. Running Dolphin Emulator on Android Phone, which has Bluetooth Connection to Xbox One Controller. Then I have a USB-C to HDMI Adapter, which is plugged into a Game Capture Kit, which is doing USB-C into Pixelbook. Which is then running Camera App, which is then reading it as an External Camera. Video In works Perfect. No Audio so you need to run aux out or bluetooth audio out from phone. And I tried Aux out on Xbox One controller, and that doesn't work. Here is screenshot

I submitted a thread about this recently as well, suggesting a few options for the developers that would improve the overall experience across platforms while solving this problem for us. Solving this simple issue would enable a whole platform of users. Doesn't make sense to not be a priority. And, isn't a complicated fix. Enable controllers to map to an option to open the in-game menu. Works great across all platforms and doesn't depend on the varying aspects of a platform/device's UI at all. Removing hard coded dependencies like that will help keep Dolphin alive long term anyway! Dear developers, PLEASE ENABLE CHROMEBOOK USERS with this fix. You have such an awesome emulator that we wold love to play and support ...

Hello! I'm using Pixelbook Go and 8bitdo controller. The controller works fine, but I can't access this stupid three dot menu by swiping down to get rid of these huge on-screen buttons. Please help to remove it! Maximizing/minimizing the window doesn't work for me Sad
