Can the triggers and bumpers on a Wii U Pro Controller be set up so that one (bumper/trigger) is full press and the other (trigger/bumper) is some pre-configured (10%, 50%, whatever) analog press?

I think this might be a good feature. I welcome thoughts.

On a digital trigger/bumper/button threshold has no effect. That's the point.

It very much has an effect on triggers, unless they are dumb and register as digital.

It has no effect on digital triggers. Which register as digital triggers because they are digital triggers.

which would be unnecessary if the user had non-pseudo analog triggers

The entire point of this thread has whooshed completely over your head.

EDIT: Also

I mean seriously I can't even give you credit there. Is a digital trigger/bumper/button dumb for registering as digital?

There's a "Modifier" binding in Dolphin supposed to do what you want. So, for example, you configure a digital button (I'll call it button 1) for L-Analog, set a threshold of 25 and then set another digital button (button 2) as modifier, pressing button 1 alone would give you a 100% L-Analog button press and pressing button 1 + button 2 would give you a 25% L-Analog button press.

EDIT: just saw the Modifier binding is for the main sticks only. You can still achieve something similar by using both L/R and L-Analog/R-Analog bindings with a ! NOT conditional and different input ranges...
