PSO 1 & 2 black screen after calendar glitch

I've been trying to play Phantasy Star Online episode 1 & 2 for a while now but each time I start the game, I get a black screen after I set the calendar at the beginning of the game.

This happens when I load my backup on my Wii as well. Is it likely the dump is bad? Do I need to do something with BBA support to get this to work? I've tried messing with a lot of things to get this game working and it always just shows me a black screen after I set the time and date.

If I recall correctly, this is because it tries to launch the date/time setting screen in the GameCube IPL, which is not present on Wiis or (presumably) your Dolphin install. To play the game, just select "no" when it asks if you want to do that.

oh geeze. I've been struggling with this on and off for months and I never tried selecting "no". Ugh... Thanks for your help. It worked and now it's playing fine.
