PS4 Tilt fuction problems

I'm trying to use the tilt function my PS4 controller with DS4windows(latest version) and Dolphin 5.0 to play games that require said functionality.

DS4windows seems to read the tilt functions just fine and im not wanting to set it to other keys via "Tilt assign" tabs, but i cannot seem to get dolphin to recognise the PS4 controllers tilt functionality/other axis.

Can anyone help please? Can it be done? I cant see why not if Dolphin 5.0 can see a real Wiimotes/Nunchuk tilt and other axis functions.

It can only be done if DS4Windows can map the gyro to:

1. mouse movement

2. A generic analog stick

Thats kind of the conclusion i am coming to. Any reason why through considering DS4Windows can see the gyroscopic function just fine?

Because that application was made specifically for the PS4 controller?

Dolphin will not see controller specific features, like gyros unless they are mapped to something xinput (windows), evdev (Linux), or ??? (macOS), recognizes.

This is by design. It allows us to not have to maintain silly controller specific code. It's not Dolphin's job. The OS does that for us.
