There's something I can't find out with google.

I already know that most games are upscaled, that's not a "are PS4 games run at native 4K resolution?" question.

What I want to know is : is the PS4 Pro final video outputs true 4K (4096 x 2160) or only UHD (3840 x 2160)?

UHD, since that's what 99.99% of "4K" displays use. The two terms are synonymous at this point whether anyone likes it or not.

Dumb marketing won again.
Thanks, I was wondering what type of TV I should buy. Works for me, since UHD is exactly 2x FHD, it allows pixel perfect 1080p scaling without block borders which is nice.

Quote:UHD is exactly 2x FHD
1920x1080 = 2M (pixel)
3840x2160 = 8.2M
4096x2160 = 8.8M
So UHD = 4xFHD

Yes, it's 4x more pixels. I said 2x because I'm used to image scaling terms where it basically means 2x vertical and horizontal resolution.

Lol right now I have a 768p TV aka WXGA. But most PS3 games don't even have a 720 IR so I don't mind for now, even if the upscaling is a bit blurry.

I do appreciate UHD tho, it's still 16:9. 4K has a really weird aspect ratio only slighty better than 16:9. I thougt the next big step was 21:9 but well...

That's weird, which model is it? All 4k Sony TVs I had access were 3840x2160...
