PS3 Controller on Dolphin?

Hello everyone.
i was just wondering if there was a way to use a ps3 controller to play gc games. Of course there probably software to install in order for the emulator to recognise the controller. I was wondering because i have one of those controllers lying around and i do not want to buy a usb gc adapter. I am sick of using a keyboard ( playing gamecube games with one is not the best to go , if you know what i mean :p ).

Use whatever piece of software is recommended these days to hook up a PS3 controller to XInput, then in the top left of the GameCube pad config, where it says Keyboard/mouse, change that to XInput/0
