Ps3 Controller not working with Zelda

Okay i'm very new to this .. and i hope some of you will feel sorry for me and help me out with this .. So I don't have a wii controller so i heard u can use your ps3 controller.. so i paired with my Macbook .. i went into the program and GCpad and turn all the buttons with the ps3.. so now when i turn on Zelda SS .. it wants me to connect my wii controller.. what am i doing wrong?? Please help ..

I just had that issue, what you have to do if you haven't done it already is make sure all the controls are set (or mapped). Hope that helps.

Currently I am still trying to configure my settings for the PS3 controller, to see what works best on it, I haven't found a single article explaining this but I shall let you know as soon as I find one or figure it out myself.

which zelda game? is it skyward sword, twilight princess, or wind waker. if you are trying to play skyward sword then the game EXCLUSIVELY uses Wii M+ otherwise you can forget about playing the game.

There's your problem: you need to configure it for a wiimote, not for a gamecube pad as the game is a wii game, not a gamecube game.
