ps3 controller not working in game?

i have ds3 tool downloaded so i have the ps3 drivers downloaded and when i go into customizing the gamecube controller pad i set all the buttons the way i want it, but when i start up a rom none of the buttons work, i followed alot of videos and they do the same thing i did but mine wont work? it has to be dolphin some way because it just worked earlier when i used the controller for epsxe

First of all, use the SCP drivers instead of motion in joy. Motion in joy sucks. forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller

Secondly, you haven't provided enough information. What game are you trying to play and what dolphin version are you using.
