You know, Nintendo's always had a negative opinion on emulators, going so far as to tell people that they're illegal when it's just downloading ROMs that crosses the line. I wonder what they'd think if they found out that this emulator now has a feature specifically to give them money through the eShop and make legitimate purchases.
Slightly off-topic, but you guys know about Cemu, a Wii-U emulator? I only bring it up because when they make a new console, they usually sell it at a loss and make their money back off of the game sales. Imagine them trying to figure out whether to get upset or not if something like this happened with a newer console, where they could potentially make money from game sales WITHOUT the loss from selling the actual console. They have so much pride over their IP's that they go to great extents to shut down opposers. You do know that they LITERALLY pay to prevent fan games based off their work from getting "Best Fan Game" awards from certain large game awards programs. Also, Cemu, albeit neat, is hated by many because of the very big possibility that the base code was stolen from Dolphin. Not only that, but the author is making solid $1000's profit every month off of it. The sad thing is, if he did steal the code, he lives in a country that wouldn't do a thing about it. Back to topic, is there a reason I get an error code 32007 when I attempt a system update with build 5.0-2941? My wired connection test returns successful in Dolphin. Does having certain modded IOS's in the NAND dump I'm using possibly cause Dolphin to not successfully update the IOS's? EDIT: NVM Found my answer on the Dolphin Wiki. You must have the IOS of the System Menu version you're using installed, otherwise the online update will always fail. Do you have any ISO with an update partition? If yes, just boot the System Menu, then go to File => Change Disc and select that ISO. When you go to the Disc Channel, it'll install the update from that ISO, and then you can proceed and do the online update to get any update that might be missing from the update partition of the ISO you've used. That or you can use NUS Downloader to get a WAD of the System Menu version you're using (AFAIK it's IOS 80 for System Menu 4.3), install it through Tools => Install WAD then proceed with the online update...

Actually I was missing the keys required to connect to Nintendo's servers. Dumping them and placing them in the Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Wii folder fixed the problem immediately. 03-16-2017, 07:32 PM
This is awesome. But slight problem on my part... Already sent all my Wii purchases over to the Wii U a few years ago...

Insert voice of Crazy German Kid here:
YEEEES OH MY GOOOOD!!!!! Now, it's show time.
I get a 205906 error when I try to get inside the shop.
Before the error the channel warns me my region has changed (USA->Spain) but my Nand region has always been Spain, ripped from a PAL wii. Maybe is the SSL certificate the cause of the problem? Did I get a USA certificated from ios IOS13-64-v1032? |
