Does anyone know if Project64 1.7 is on the way? They said that it would probably be released around mid-2010, and, well, it is mid 2012 and they haven't posted much recently, just a post about OoT 3D from May 2011... any idea if they are still developing it?

PJ64 is pretty much dead, and it seems the devs are fine with it. However, Mudlord leaked the Project64 1.6 source code a couple weeks ago, in order to give the N64 emulation scene a much needed push.

Hopefully the next few years will see some progress again.

It's kind of a bummer that he couldn't leak out the 1.7 beta code, since that was supposed to be a big improvement to 1.6, but at least now it is getting commits as recently as 4 days ago. Thanks for the update, I'll have to follow along with that project.

I think what Squall is saying is that when mudlord released the source, it was not considered leaking.
