Project M on a mac

Is there a way to get the Project M mod for ssbb to work on a mac
my specs: (even though their not important for this question)
MacBook Pro
13-inch, Mid 2010
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)

dolphin version (not important either just following forum rules):

basically: project M is a popular mod for ssbb and there are tutorials on installing it on windows, so im asking anyone who did that is installing the mod patching the the game file itself or is it involving dolphin only because if its patching the game itself theres a possibility i can patch it on windows then moving the game file to mac. if not does anyone know a way to install the mod on windows mac.
